Grades 3-7 ~ 8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
Grades 8-12 ~ 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Does your child like to sing, act and make new friends? Do they want to learn more about opera and performing arts? Spring Break Opera Camp teaches children and teens, grades 3-12, the singing and acting skills required to perform on stage.

Campers in grades 3-7 will meet at 8:30 a.m. daily for fun opera and music related activities. Older campers, grades 8-12, arrive at 11:00 a.m. to study Rossini’s The Barber of Seville during a brown-bag lunch. Then the older campers will work on audition techniques, resumes and singing/acting until 4:00 p.m.

All campers will meet on Friday, March 16 at 8:30 a.m. to get ready to show off what we’ve been exploring. Friends and family are invited at 12:00 p.m. for a brown-bag lunch, followed by a presentation program. Then older campers can stay to present a mock audition for LOKC Artistic Administrator Brad Trexell, who will discuss what professional companies look for: Resumes, cover letters and head shots.
