Opera: Up Close & Personal

Create your own program for your students!

During the program, a professional opera singer, Lyric Opera staff member and a pianist visit the class for a close-up look at any aspect of opera that is of interest to the class. Students enjoy a live performance from the singer and pianist featuring music from the current Lyric Opera season. The students then learn about any area of interest – wigs and makeup, life as an opera singer, scenic and costume design, backstage careers in the arts, and more.

Opera: Up Close & Personal is the most flexible arts education experience; it can be tailored for students in grades K-12, college students, or adult community groups. The workshop is $295 for one session or $425 for two sessions or for one session with over 50 in the audience.
