Born and raised in the Kansas City, KS, Amari was introduced to the world of arts and music at the young age of seven years old and has loved it ever since.
Her first show was Carmen by George Bizet at Lyric Opera of Kansas City (2010). She continued in the Lyric's children's chorus in shows like Turandot (2011), the world premiere of The Giver (2012), La bohème (2014), and Dead Man Walking (2018) until her junior year of high school.
In 2014, Amari applied for and won the Vincent Legacy Award hosted by Starlight Theatre in Kansas City, propelling her into the world of musical theater. Her professional musical theater debut was Hairspray (2018) under the direction Jerry Jay Cranford and she has been in love with musicals ever since.
Currently, she attends Kansas City Kansas Community College and plans to attend University of Missouri-Kansas City to continue her education.
