NEW in 2019: Student Rush tickets ($15) can be reserved by students and teachers/professors in advance, starting 2 weeks before the performance. Each student or teacher may reserve up to two (2) Student Rush tickets per performance at the $15 price. Student Rush tickets will be held at Will Call.
The fine print on advance Student Rush tickets: Payment is due at the time of reservation. Student or Teacher ID is required at time of pickup. $15 price includes fees. Specific seating is not guaranteed. Subject to availability; not good in combination with any other discounts, and not good on previously-purchased tickets. We reserve the right to revoke or discontinue the Student Rush advance offer at any time. Please pick up your tickets at least 30 minutes before performance time.
Student Rush tickets may also be purchased on the day of the show, starting 90 minutes prior to curtain.
Attendance at Student Dress Rehearsal is available by reservation to each Kauffman Center opera, when students can see the final rehearsal. Teachers receive a packet of educational materials prior to attending, and add-ons are available, such as school visits by cast members. The program costs $6 per person for educational materials plus the dress rehearsal for groups up to 100. Read more here.
Limelight Program/Employer Share Program
The process is easy for employees who wish to participate. Employees may call Lyric Opera’s Box Office at (816) 471-7344 to place their order and mention they work for an Employer Share partner. Employees pay a reduced rate, based on each company’s level of commitment. The company is then billed for the remaining portion of the cost.
Participating companies may also be eligible for benefits such as special ticket promotions, backstage tours or “performance teasers,” where a Lyric Opera singer can come right to your workplace.
Participating Companies Include:
- DST Systems
- Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation
- State Street
Joining the program is easy! It takes only minutes to enroll your company and we’ll do the rest. We provide all of the materials you’ll need to keep your employees up to date on every performance.
