Community Engagement
Community Conversation: The Voice of Your Heart
Lyric Opera teamed up with The Museum of Kansas City to present our Community Conversation event for Cruzar la Cara de la Luna, supported by the Missouri Humanities Trust Fund. This interactive evening—with food, drink, and live music—explored the historic roots of Mexican American communities in our region, including an in-depth look at the Bracero Program and its significant impact on Mexican labor migration.

To win Princess Turandot’s hand, Prince Calaf must solve three riddles—or die trying. When he succeeds, she resists, so he offers a challenge of his own: guess his name by dawn, or keep her vow. Is one night enough to soften her scorn?
