Charlee Blue Owens

Charlee Blue Owens (age twelve) is thrilled to make his debut with Lyric Opera of Kansas City. As a cast out farm dog rescued as a pup, he has a keen understanding of the “Old Dog” role. He’d like to thank his family for supporting his acting dreams and extend extra tail-wagging love to the entire cast and crew for all the nice pets and yummy treats.

Charlee was adopted from The Animal Rescue Alliance (TARA), a volunteer-based non-profit dedicated to helping homeless dogs and cats in Kansas City. Founded in memory of Tara Nagel, a remarkable young woman with a passion for animals who tragically died in 2005. TARA strives to honor her legacy by ensuring that every animal receives the kindness they deserve and is adopted into a loving home. TARA is primarily foster home-based. Visit tarasdream.org to learn more about TARA and ways you can help.
