Matt Leisy returns to the Kauffman Center after making his solo concert debut at Helzberg Hall in 2021. A graduate of Northwestern University’s School of Music, Leisy performed with Light Opera Works and Opera in the Ozarks as a young artist before joining the theatre world. Recent engagements include Viscount Raoul de Chagny in the World Tour of The Phantom of the Opera. New York credits include the revival of The Light in the Piazza at the New York City Center Encores! series, the Sweeney Todd revival at Barrow Street Theatre, Carousel at the Lincoln Center with New York Philharmonic (PBS broadcast), the Broadway national tour of A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder at Starlight Theatre, and The Fantasticks (50th Anniversary Cast). Leisy has performed at leading regional theaters including Grand Horizons at Kansas City Actors Theatre, The Inheritance Parts One & Two at Unicorn Theatre and Quality Hill Playhouse. Television credits include The Blacklist and Live from Lincoln Center.
