John Story continues his collaboration with Lyric Opera Kansas City, having previously worked on Rusalka, Everest, and Penelope. He has been creating theatre sound for more than 30 years. His designs have appeared on stages from Sweden to Australia, including a run at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Mr. Story has also worked in film and video, record production, broadcast audio, and acoustical design, as well as touring extensively throughout the US. He received his MFA in Sound Design from UMKC, where he taught theatre sound technology. He currently sits on the board for Central Standard Theatre, where he continues his international work.
