Roméo et Juliette
How can you heighten the drama of Shakespeare’s most famous play? By giving it the French grand opera treatment. Gounod’s adaptation of Romeo and Juliet brings this familiar tragedy to an epic crescendo. With an expansive score, gorgeous sets, and period costumes, see Shakespeare’s tale as you’ve never experienced it before.
Opera Silent Dinner
Join Orpheus KC and Wandering Vine at the Castle on Tuesday, January 30 for a unique and immersive dining event that takes you on a journey through the timeless tale of Romeo and Juliet. This exquisite evening promises an unforgettable blend of fine dining, live opera, and the magic of storytelling, all wrapped in a hush of anticipation.
Sketchbook for Ollie
Join Lyric Opera at Kansas City Public Library, Plaza Branch on Friday, February 2, at 6:00 pm for a free community performance! Sketchbook for Ollie is an opera for families about a boy who learns to cope with grief through the use of music and play. All ages are warmly invited!
