Orpheus Affair: Candelabra
First, we start February with Orpheus Affair: Candelabra, presented by Orpheus KC. Tickets to this fun event at the Lyric Opera Production Arts Center are $65 and include an evening of dynamic art installations paired with themed drinks and delicious bites. *Ticket price will go up to $75 on February 4.

Get Tickets for The Shining
This March we are off to the Overlook Hotel for the Kansas City premiere of The Shining. Major American conductor Gerard Schwarz will make his Lyric Opera debut and lead an all-star cast, including Edward Parks as disturbed father Jack Torrence and American soprano Kelly Kaduce as Wendy. There is tremendous interest in this show, and demand for tickets is high, so secure seats soon before the best seats in the house are gone.

Lyric Opera Ball: Celebrating Stephen Sondheim
Then, in April, the Lyric Opera Circle presents its annual Lyric Opera Ball, celebrating the life and career of Stephen Sondheim. Join us on Saturday, April 1 at the Sheraton Hotel Kansas City at Crown Center. This black-tie ball benefitting Lyric Opera of Kansas City will feature a silent auction, games of chance, a gourmet multi-course dinner, vocal entertainment, and dancing.

Listen, Wilhelmina!
Later in April, our children’s production, Listen, Wilhelmina! will be presented in our production facility. Appropriate for all ages, Listen, Wilhelmina! is specially designed for children ages 3–8. Stick around after the show for a host of fun (and educational) activities!

Sondheim on Sondheim
Finally, to round out the 2022-2023 season, we bring you Sondheim on Sondheim, a retrospective of the father of the modern musical. Honoring the legacy of Stephen Sondheim, who passed away in November 2021, this production features wonderful Sondheim stylists accompanied by the Kansas City Symphony.
