This semi-staged touring production celebrates the life and work of Langston Hughes—poet, innovator of jazz poetry, and Harlem Renaissance leader from Joplin, Missouri. Students will explore one of America’s most influential literary voices and experience how music can emerge from poetry. To support classroom learning, teachers receive curricular resources aligned with state and national standards.

- Access to performance space at least 30 minutes prior to performance for setup and 30 minutes after performance for teardown.
