On an ordinary day at her grandmother’s house, Maya finds a magical ruby ring. After dusting it off, she is greeted by a genie and is allowed three wishes. Ignoring the word of warning the genie offers her, her first two wishes backfire before she wishes for her grandmother to return, learning the lesson the Genie tried to tell her all along—“Be careful what you wish for.”
